Dear Friends,
Spiritual learning continues throughout life, and often in unexpected ways…. Are you open to new light, from whatever source it may come? (Advices and Queries 7)
Recently, I found myself listening closely to the words of a familiar song on the radio. It seemed to me that “Love Will Save the Day”, made famous by Whitney Houston, could almost be a Quaker anthem, if we used such familiar terminology. The line “…say a prayer” might need adaptation, but I’ve been unable to find a Quaker alternative that scans!
The song uses the term ‘Love’, not ‘God’, perhaps making the message more widely acceptable than it may otherwise have been. I’ve found it has been playing on repeat in my head, and I’ve taken comfort in the reminder to find peace in my heart, and to have faith.
