Accessibility
There are three steps from the porch into the main meeting room. To avoid these, level access is available via the back door of the building – please ask for help. We are working hard to make the building fully accessible, but as it is both listed and in a conservation area, this is a challenging task.
There is plenty of space in the meeting room for wheelchairs, and also wheelchair accessible toilet facilities.
Seating in the meeting room consists of both traditional benches and soft chairs. Please let the Friend at the door know if you require more comfortable seating. There are “back friends” (added back support) for those who would like to sit on benches but require support. The Friend on the door can direct you to one of these.
The meeting room has a hearing loop system which is switched on during meeting for worship. If you are dependent on this you might ask the Friend at the door to check it is working and for advice on the best place to sit in the meeting room.
If you have particular needs or concerns about access, please do contact us beforehand, using the enquiries form here.
